Golden Moment - Pasadena Colorado Street Bridge
Golden Moment – Bridge painting – Kris Doe The iconic Colorado Street Bridge sets at the gateway to the beautiful city of Pasadena, CA. The classic span’s repeating arches and Beaux Arts details reflect the lovely afternoon glow that conceals the bridge’s tragic history which earned its other well-known moniker. Pasadena’s Suicide Bridge.

Havana Prado

Calle Zapato Cuba
Walking the neighborhoods of Vedado, I was captivated by this old rusted sign. I searched out this building on my return trip the following year and asked the resident of the property across the street if I could set up in his yard and paint from that vantage. Made a wonderful new friend that day in Alphonso Fabre, a wonderful marble sculptor and engraver. It is he I painted on the sidewalk.
Curiously, two days after I finished the painting, the sign that had attracted me in the first place was taken down and gone!
